Short Fact : A military fortress built in 1930's by British. The fort has underground military tunnels, intelligence and logistic center, halls, offices, ventilation shafts, canon firing bays, sleeping quarters, cook house and medical infirmary.
Here we start our journey. hehe! Entering the long dark tunnel.
I'm inside the tunnel! Dunno how they built the tunnel last time.
Climbing out from the tunnel. A small and very very long stairs.
Here is some of the remaining office or sleeping quarter.
This is the Malay army quarter. The entrance design is special.
Conclusion : The fort is quite big. Most of the buildings are still in good condition compare to the others such as A Famosa, Melacca. We took almost 1 hour to finish the visit. It is a place that you should visit before you going to Vietnam to visit Cu Chi tunnel in Ho Chi Minh. So that you can have a clearer view of war tunnels and their differences.
