Long time din blog :p bz playing with Photoshop. I went to my friend’s Toastmaster Xmas party. Here is my xmas gift :D

The gift exchange event is different from the others. We can choose the gift! Meanwhile, other people can choose the gift chosen by you. There is one gift every one is fighting for (just for fun) and it ends up is a toilet paper container. Wuahahaha!

Ok. Some comments: u can have this kind of event for adults or teenagers, not prefer kids. Sounds rude to take away ppl’s gift, maybe that child will ends up crying. Another good way to educate the kids: Nothing is forever in this world. The thing belongs to u may no own by u tomorrow. So, appreciate what you have now!

上个星期去朋友的圣诞派对。他们的礼物交换环节有点特别，我们可以选礼物！但是。。。。。别人也可选你选了的礼物（就是抢你的礼物咯！）

有个礼物被好多人抢来抢去（全部抢爽的！），最后打开这礼物才发现是个装卫生纸盒。哈哈哈！这是我的礼物：

一些小意见：这环节比较适合成年人或少年。感觉上比较没礼貌抢别人的礼物。用于小孩的话，可能会弄哭小朋友。另一方面，我们要教导小朋友，世事无常，你不能永恒的拥有一些东西，人或事。（听起来好深奥哦！:p）

GoodBye My friend

I dun really remember how old is she, should be around 9 to 10 years old. I remember the time where my sister bring her back. My mom does not allow us to rear any pets last time (cause it will end up that my mother will be taking care of them :p).Then my little and naughty sister jz bring home the little puppy without letting my mother know in advanced(cantonese speaking "xin zam hao zao").

She is a cute, active and playful puppy. So, we named it as "Happy". My friends will laugh when I call her name. When my sister or I came back from KL or Penang once a month, "Happy" will be very very happy to welcome us.

She knows wat am I talking to her, cause every time when i talk to her, she will wet her nose and 'sob' 'sob'. Every morning, she will follow my father any where and sit beside him while he is reading newspapers.

Last Saturday night, she pass away. I managed to be beside her, pray for her and talk to her. I miss her.

Hot hot hot

我喝最多酒的时候就是背包旅行时。Eric说啤酒能消暑，所以我就试试。在越南时，真的真的好热！那时候是夏天，天气比马来西亚还要热。大家都好想躲在房间里，不要出去，但是我们是来旅行的呢！怎能把宝贵时间浪费在房间里呢？ The time that I drink a lot of beer is the time during backpack. Eric said that beer can cold down our body. So, I tried it out. During that time, Vietnam is in summer season. 3 of us (semua tropical country mari) cannot tahan the heat! 我们热到不想再走。Lemah…..the weather is very very hot!

其中一位在酒吧里工作的女孩。（比我还有像华人）在越南人眼里，马来西亚是个工作天堂，只知道很多越南人跑来淘金。One of the bar tender (she has a typical Chinese look than me). Vietnamese just know Malaysia as a “jobs heaven”, many Vietnamese come here to work. Why local people complaining no jobs while foreigners see Malaysia as a “jobs heaven”? Haih~~~ This is Malaysia “BOLEH”

Lari Lari

当我对吉隆坡的路线有点熟悉后，我就离开了。在那儿六年了，因为开始时没有车驾，有很多地方都不会去。有了车后也不是很敢到处走走，迷路了，给toll钱也给到怕怕！城市越广，人群越大，彼此心灵的距离也很遥远。

A Level 后，跟朋友去喝茶，谈到未来。那些好学生当然不用担心啦，那些成绩中等的（就像我）就。。。嗨。。。。

朋友问我要去哪儿？我说：“哪儿都好，不是KL就可以了！”哪知道。。。。 我跟KL的缘分还没结束，尽然去了KL隔壁的Cyberjaya.

四年后，毕业了！朋友再次问去哪儿？这次没有“除了”这字眼，太邪门了！（我不要再留在这儿啊！）拿到槟城的工作时好开心。我不用留在KL了。槟城应该是个可爱的小岛吧！

English version: When I know how to go to 1Utama, Midvalley, Setapak, Kajang, Sunway,etc, I’m going to leave KL. I stayed in KL for almost 6 years. The first few years, I dun have car. On my 3rd and final uni year, I also not brave enough to drive around in KL. When u r lost, u will pay for the toll, not 1 toll but multiple tolls, but still cannot reach the destination.

After finished my A-Level, we go out and have fun. My friend asked me where will I go to further my study? I said: “Any where, EXCEPT KL.”

Then……….I’m in Cyberjaya(a place beside KL) to further my studies. The first year in Cyberjaya was a night mare.

After 4 yrs, I’m grad. Again we go out makan. The same question is being asked AGAIN. This time, I dun want to use the word “EXCEPT”. Now, I’m in Penang, a small and lovely and full of yummy food island. At last, I left KL. Yeah !

Pulau Jerejak

Pulau Jerejak.......eerrmmm......... a quiet place to visit when u need a peaceful environment. My father told me last time it is a prison. It has spa service but u can't swim in the sea. Many many many jelly fish will play with u.

Queensbay

A new shopping mall in Penang island opened on 1 Dec last week. Then my colleague went there to try out the newly paint smell...........

Then i went there again on 3 Dec to buy clothes. Nicchi got sales! hehehe......

Queensbay is located near to beach. Nice view in front of it. Can go for evening walk before going to shopping...hahaha.....

钱不够用

发觉原来要浪费钱是那么地容易，那么地不知不觉。买了衣服没有穿，鞋子没有穿，手表没有戴，手提袋没有提，化妆品没有用，护肤品没有用，保健品没有吃，食物没有吃，书没有读，笔没有写，车没有驾，屋没有住。。。。。。。。。。

那一点一点被浪费的钱加起来应该不少吧！

算一算，我有两条新裙子还没穿过（我不会配搭裙和衣），护唇膏没用（买爽的），化妆品很少用（我喜欢用自然美来吓人），巧克力还没吃完（还在冰箱），有一本书还没看完（买了好久）。。。。。还有。。。。。还有。。。。。。

钱不够用？真的吗？

Having my team building event last week in Pulau Jerejak,Penang. Wall climbing is one of the activities. Should be easy,rite? I always climb here climb there, climb up and clim down when i was young. This one....should be easy lah.

climb.....climb.......climb........until 3/4 of the wall........my hands start shaking and my breathing is getting faster and faster. Thinking of giving up, but someone shouting "pei see pei see. u can do it!" . I'm so motivated...............THANKS!
I managed to finish it. YEAh! I know that some guys can't finish it. GIRLs power!!! HAhaha.

Went to explore Penang last 2 weeks with my housemate. We went to Fort Cornwallis! RM3 entrance fee....quite cheap compare to Vietnam,Laos and Cambodia. Those countries use USD one....scary :S

餐厅里有着微黄的灯光，意大利式的设计，还有美味的食物！

它的pizza还不错，比pizzaHut贵一点点。

但是吃了一口后，你就知道pizzaHut和Little Italy's pizza有何分别。

不错不错，值得试一试。

Fishes fiShes

My father likes fish. My house has 7 glass aquariums and 2 big cement aquariums. When I was a child, I always saw my father cleaning up the aquarium, feeding the fishes, looking at those creatures swimming freely.

What is burried in my sister and I? I'll not rear fish, but I'll help my housemate to take care them. My sister also helping her housemate to take care the fishes. :)

Bhutan

翻开这个月的“女友”，看见了一个关于“不丹”的文章。吸引我的是“不丹” 是个拥有快乐指数最高的王国。看着看着“不丹”的图片，发觉我是不是把西藏和不丹搞乱了？跑去google一下，原来不丹是西藏的邻居，不怪得那么像。

Google到一些好特别的资料： 1）世界上第一个全面禁烟的国家。居民不准在公共场所抽烟，也不准在任何户外地点抽烟。本地商店不准卖任何烟草产品。无法戒烟的居民可以自己进口，交100%的进口税。

2）每年僅僅同意六千名觀光客進入國內，以保護不丹的自然環境及古老文化。

3）每名游客一定要每天花费165美元（游客低潮季节）- 200美元（游客高潮季节）。

看来不丹好像是人间天堂，无烟之外，消费也蛮高！简直就是王帝式享受！

Looking at this month “NuiYOu” magazine, I saw article writing about Bhutan. The thing that attracts me is Bhutan has the highest happiness statistic of the world! While looking at Bhutan pictures, did I mix up Tibet with Bhutan? The places look so similar to Tibet.

So, google is the best! Bhutan is actually the neighbor of Tibet. No wonder they look so similar. Some interesting facts to share out:

1) Bhutan is the first country in the world that prohibits smoking. No one is allowed to smoke in public area or out doors, no selling of cigarette. A smoker needs to import cigarette himself paying 100% of the import tax.

2) Each year, only 6000 tourists are allowed to enter Bhutan, in order to protect the nature environment and culture of Bhutan.

3) Each visitors need to spend a minimum of US$165(low season) or US$200 (peak season) DAILY!

4) Bhutan is the only country to measure happiness. Gross National Happiness.

Wow! Looks like Bhutan is a heaven for me! :S but I need to save a lot of money to visit there.

Kuala Lumpur

昨天从吉隆坡回来槟城，买了5点的巴士，巴士5.45分才到。我就在巴士站吸了45分钟的废气！上了巴士后，真希望有个仪器可以让我“洗肺”！

如果要我回到那儿生活，我会“十三思”。呆了六年在那儿，没一个人或事物能让我留下。

我不爱这个大城市。当我看见一片一片的树林被铲平时，我的心是那么得痛。在大学做着我的fINAL YEAR PROJECT时，看到了金钱是能消灭一片又一片的保留森林（RESERVED FOREST）。

越多金钱流动的地方，恶魔指数越高！

Yesterday I jz got back from KL. My bus is a 5pm bus but the bus was late, 5.45pm only reached Pudu. I was standing in the bus station, inhaling the dark-coloured air for 45 minutes. I jz wish that there is a machine which can help me to "clean up" my lungs.

I dun like KL. While doing my final year project, I found that MONEY can kill all the green lands! A forest reserved land for now can be a housing area for tomorrow. MONEY is stronger than LAW!

The richer the city, the stronger is the devil!

Boys and Girls (Part 2)

Normally, there are very few female engineers around. We are having family talk during Raya break. I told that I got hired because I got special treatment ………because I’m a girl. Really? I win the other contestants because I’m a girl but not because I’m qualified to………sad sad. Anyway, my father told that from a newspaper article, female does have some advantage in a guys’ world.

A female CEO from China told that a female can bargain to the lowest price of the goods but male can’t.

Man and man: When a man try to bargain again and again, he will end up beaten up by another man (seller). This is because, indirectly, if the man bargains and bargains, he means “Eh! You are selling cheap things with high price!”

Man and woman: When a woman bargains with a man, she can get the lowest price! 1st, a man cannot beat a woman. 2nd, it is nature of woman to bargain.

Hahaha. It’s sounds funny but quite logical.

My Uniform

So, now I’m in Motorola for almost 4 months.

How is life working in Motorola? Erm……this one is my first job after grad, so, I found that everything is fine working in this multinational company. The working environment is good, my colleague are smart and nice, my pay is okie, my job still okie, the benefits of the company is okie, flexible working hour, free tea break everyday, free breakfast every Friday …………

So, everything is superb fine except ……………..UNIFORM



The uniform design is 20 years ago and they are still using the same design for today. It may look “In” enough 20 years ago, but now is “Out”. Especially for guys, they all wanna commit suicide the first time they wear the orange flowers uniform.

This is my first time to see someone using orange to match with green in clothing design. In the sense of art, these 2 colours never match well! Motorola handphone is stylish but…….but………uniform……….><

Boys and Girls (Part I)

CYLee asked me whether female clothing is more expensive than male clothing. Most of the girls will shout out: “YES!” Okie……..my answer is NO.

If you can find a few thousand Ringgit dress, you can also find a few thousand Ringgit male clothing. If you want to buy female dress below RM10, guys also have t-shirt sold below RM10.

So, why we are shouting that our clothes are more expensive? The different is capacity! Girls cannot make themselves wearing the same dress 365 days, but guys can wear the same old boring t-shirt 365 days.

我是外星人 ~ Hokkien World

今天在超级市场花钱。花完钱后，我要去拿车了。 走着走着，一位印度Jaga叔叔跟我说了一堆福建话。我到底来到什么世界啊？印度叔叔尽然跟我说福建话。。。。。呜呜。。。我感觉自己好失败。。。。。呜呜。。

来到了槟城，我就像来到了火星。我有着华人的肤色，但用着不同的语言。 学不到福建话的原因： 1）在家：我说马来话，因为我与两位马来同胞，一位不会福建话的华人（华人+Iban）同住在一起。

2）在公司：我说英文和华语。我的组员，十人内只有两人是槟城人

能学福建话的时间：午餐。我只学了“椰水”，“凉茶”，“冷或热”，“收钱”，“一二三十五六七八九十”的简单福建话名词。。。。。。。。看来我需要一段好长好长的时间学福建话了！

Today I went to shopping in Sunshine supermarket. When I want to take my car , an Indian “Jaga” spoke out a bunch of Hokkien to me. ……….What the hxxx? Even Indian Mr. “Jaga” can speak Hokkien!

Where am I? I’m in an island called “Penang” where all of the “yellow coloured” skin human can speak Hokkien. Even some “dark colour or brown colour’ skin human can speak Hokkien better than me!

I am a Chinese who knows mandarin, Cantonese, Hakka, Malay and English except Hokkien! Everyone is speaking Hokkien with me, but I replied them in Mandarin. I look so ALIEN!

玩了半个东南亚后，来了一个小岛开始了我的社会大学旅程。人人都说槟城是个美食天堂，我当然要尝一尝那些美食啦！现在我有了我自己的交通工具，再加上槟城不大，迷路了也不用害怕。嘻嘻！ 所以我买了一本书，周末时我可以做功课了。哈哈！ People said Penang is a heaven of yummy food........So, I bought a book last Friday. Finding and eating tasty food is my weekend activities........hehehe

红绿对抗

今天翻开报纸，台湾红潮出现后，绿潮陆续呈现。这个娑婆世界是公平的，有黑就有白。

只是我不明白的是绿潮用“爱台湾。爱安定”作为口号。从扁先生参选到成为总统，台湾没有一天是安定的。枪击事件，贪污，跟中国搞对抗啦。。。。。如果扁先生还继续“厚脸皮”，台湾不知道几时才能安定？

世界上那么多政治人物贪污，不见得全都被抓。扁先生，你的功夫还不到家，回家再修炼吧！别赖死不走，以为自己是“贪污英雄”！

Erm...........Wong. This one really hard for me to translate :p. Is something related to Political issues in Taiwan. Jz that I dun like the Mr.President.

博客

当“博客风”吹起的时候，我没有特别去注意它。当时我想“博客”只是让无聊的人写一些日常无聊的东西吧？或让一些人满足一下“偷看”别人日记的欲望吧？（不好意思，得罪得罪一下。。。。。）

大学刚开始时，没太多的空闲时间读别人的博客。大四时，蛮多朋友开始写博客了！那时我发现，好久没联络的好朋友不见了手机。问他怎样遗失的，他说不想提起伤心事，去看他的博客吧！…….博客成了他的代言人？

现在我发现，博客也有它的好处。读着读着朋友们的博客，我可以知道他们最近状况如何，他们的趣事，他们的心情。没写博客的朋友们，你们还好吗？

在此，我也想告诉你们，我现在在槟城 = 一个几乎是华人就会说福建话的小岛。（但是，我不会福建话。。呜呜呜。。。）如果你有到槟城来，记得找我啊！

At first, i don't really pay attention to blogs.....somemore, I dun have the "free" times to read or write it during Uni times. I prefer games instead of writing or reading blogs.

For me, blog seems like a diary for those "very free" people to crap around or for people to look at others people diaries freely. Until one day, I found out that Mr. Jerry lost his phone. When i asked him how he lost it, he jz ask me to read his blog............(open his mouth also lazy :p)

Now, I found that I can know how my friends' life getting on from their blogs. I'm writing blog too! Jz wanna tell u (the one who is reading :p): I'm fine. Now working in Penang as engineer lol. If u r coming to Penang, pls visit me . hehe!

What did you really bring back from vacation?

Erm.....this is a newsletter i received from IFAW(International Fund for Animal Welfare).

"Each year, customs officers seize thousands of wildlife items from travelers, many of them tourist souvenirs made from endangered or threatened species. Examples include elephant ivory carvings and jewelry, tortoise and turtle shell accessories, big cat skins, reptile skin handbags, belts and shoes, porcupine quill coasters and lampshades, coral and shells, and many more!"

Ya..I didn't really think of that. In Malaysia beaches, we found many stalls selling sea shells and coral. Yup......they are pretty. But sea shells should be placed inside the sea, not our cupboard or tables, rite?

So, next time think twice before you buy souvenirs.......

水 (WATER)

第一天到柬埔寨，不清楚为什么到处都有卖矿泉水。直到我冲凉时才知道原因。那儿的水有一种奇怪的味道，洗脸时，眼睛就好像碰到海水，刺刺的感觉。早上和晚上刷牙时，我用矿泉水漱口，因为我真的不习惯那味道。

去到越南的北部，那种味道还存在，只是没那么重。到了越南北部，那些水的素质好了一点，但也不比马来西亚的好。原来我们是那么的幸运...........

The first day in Cambodia, everywhere is selling mineral water or drinking water in bottles. People said that water in Cambodia is not clean.

Okay, at first, I really don’t believe it. When I got my first bath in Cambodia, then only I know how clean the water is. The tap water is in brown colour with a funny smell. When I wash my face, I felt like I’m using sea water, not tap water. When I brush my teeth, I really wanna skip it! The fresh toothpaste smell can’t even cover the funny smell of the water. So, I ended up using mineral water to brush my teeth.

The funny smell of the water exists in the South of Vietnam also (Saigon, Nha Trang, etc). The quality of the water improve moving from South to North of Vietnam.

How lucky is Malaysian with all the clean tap water provided. So, don’t simply waste water. :)

"Nightmare" bus trip

5 something at Hanoi waiting the bus to go to Vientiane, Loas. This bus trip is going to be my longest trip ---> 20 hrs. While waiting for the bus, I jz wan to pray that the bus will be a nice and comfortable one which is same as Malaysia express bus. From the beginning of my backpack until now, we haven't got onto a comfortable express bus. When I saw the bus, I was shocked.......go into the bus.......I wanna CRY!!!

五点多在湖内（Hanoi）等巴士去万象(Vientiane, Laos). 这趟巴士将是我二十四年来最久的一趟巴士----->20个小时。等着的时候，我已经有种不安的感觉。从旅程开始到现在，我们没有坐过一辆巴士像马来西亚的长途巴士那样豪华及舒服的。 当我看到那辆巴士时，已经被吓了一跳。再走进巴士里，我很想哭了！

Ahhhhh........I'm I going to sit on the bus for 20 hrs?

好恐怖喔！！！！那巴士就像我中学时的巴士，座位的空间只够我们坐下及放脚，没多余的空间。我要坐在那儿20个小时！屁股将要开花了！呜呜呜呜。。。。。。。。。

中毒

看来我中了“自游”毒。星期五买了“世界地图上的印记”（Journey Impressions on the Map）。看了几页后，心头涌现一种要去旅行的冲动。。。。。。。

啊！！！！！好多地方要去。。。。。。

可能在我的DNA里有着一个小小的讯息吧，所以我好喜欢旅游。爸爸年轻时，到过土耳其（Turkey）,西班牙（Spain）,法国（France）, 意大利（Italy）,英国（England）,印度（India）,阿富汗（Afghanistan）等等。有些地方是爸爸与朋友自助旅行的地方，有些是与我妈妈去吃风（那时我才三岁，丢下我和妹妹跑去吃风）。

我何时才能去那些地方找我爸爸的足迹呢？。。。。。。

看着看着‘潇湘过客’的博客，发现“自游的巫婆”的字眼，按下去。。。。。原来是我的博客。“巫婆”听下去好老喔。。。。。。我不要！ 虽然我已经25岁了，但还没够资格用“婆”这个字来称呼吧？ “老巫婆”这个花名是从中学生活营里得回来的。那时，戏剧导演要找人演“老巫婆”，被提名的“演员们”都一一拒绝演出。导演只好问我，一个默默无闻的小人物演“老巫婆”！ “好啊！”从小到大，我都是好孩子，好姐姐，好学生。。。。。。做做“坏人”也不错吧？想起有次生活营，我好想演坏学生，朋友们都丢出一句“你不像！”的话把我压倒了。呜呜。。。。。我被定型了。其实，我是个多才多艺的演员来的。可能是我演得太好吧，“老巫婆”为那戏剧带来高潮，小朋友们和家长们都哈哈大笑！就这样，“老巫婆”随着我至现在。 没有半点埋怨，因为“老巫婆”让我想起中学时最快乐的时光。

I'm GRAD!

That's ME! I cried when i sang the MMU song : Permata Dunia.

The first time i sang it ,is during the orientation. I dunno whether i made the correct choice, i left most of my good friends, seperate with my bf and enter MMU alone. The first yr is a night mare yr for my room mate and I. We had a selfish and terrible senior room mate, no transport, no good food in the hostel.........TRAP in a CONCRETE JUNGLE!

luckily, we survived for the long 4 yrs. I found a good job and good friends. I sang "Permata Dunia" for the last time during convo, we all r proud of ourselves, our families are proud of us too, MMU is proud of us too!

Backpack Day 4

第四天早上，我们坐巴士离开金边（Phnom Penh）到越南去。半路时我们去上厕所，你会看见好多小孩在那儿行乞。上了厕所后，我去付钱，付完后，那班小孩围过来讨钱。快把我吓死了，我冲冲地离开，但被一给断了手掌的小孩拉着。救命呀！。。。。。。。这时，坐在一旁的大人喝一喝，他们跑了。

我不是冷血的，只是…….只是………..我帮不到那么多小孩呀！

柬埔寨是个让我心疼的地方，那儿小孩的眼里，我看不见未来，很悲哀。我要感恩感恩，因为活在马来西亚，因为出生在一个小康之家，因为我有爱我的家人。

救自己。。。。。

小时候，爸爸时常提心我和妹妹，流血时，无论手有多肮脏，也要按着伤口止血。心想：“哎呀，这么简单，全部人都会啦！”直到我听到很多故事，才发觉，其实有很多人不会的。

故事一：背包旅行时，我赤脚爬山（因为穿拖鞋好难爬），不小心割伤脚板，流好多血。我找个位子坐下止血。某某问为什么按着伤口？"“止血呀！你不知道吗？”我答道。

故事二：上急救课时，飞机场员工想知道止血的方法。因为发生过一起命案，一个小孩在玻璃茶桌上奔跳。玻璃破了，刺伤大腿，血“喷”出来**！全不知道怎样办，短短三分钟，小孩死了。

**为什么血会“喷”出来？人体有两种血管，Artery 血管的血压很高，刺破了，血是“喷”出来，而不是“流”出来。



When I was little, my father always told that: “No matter how dirty is your hand, press on the cut and stop bleeding.” He just reminds and reminds us again. “Ok……..easy job only. Everyone should know this, right?” I assumed.

My assumption is wrong until I meet someone, I heard some stories!

Story 1: During my backpack trip, I hurt my foot and bleeding. I found a place to sit down and stop the bleeding. My partner asked: “How to stop bleeding?” “Oh…..is easy. Just press on the cut and it’ll stop bleeding. Don’t you know that?” I replied.

Story 2: In a First Aid class, the workers of airport wanna know the ways to stop bleeding. Why? There was a case where a child jumping up and down on a glass made coffee table. The glass broke and cut the boy’s leg. Blood gushing out like fountain**. No one knows what to do…….In 3 minutes, the boy die.

How to stop bleeding? Give direct pressure on the wound, another way of speaking, PRESS on the wound until the bleeding is stop or first aid is given.

** Why blood will gush out instead flow out from the wound? Biology time……there are 2 types of blood vessels; blood in artery will have high pressure. So, blood will gush out from artery instead of flow out.

我跟谁？

我跟谁去旅行呢？女性朋友？男朋友？都不是！是一位我认识的男生和一位他认识的男生，三个人而已。跟男生在一起，有好处，当然也有坏处啦。好处是，我有两位免费的“保镖”。坏处是，我们都失去了私人空间。

记得有一次在越南，我们住进了一间房间是用玻璃式的冲凉房，那就是我们可以看见冲凉房里的人。Oh My God! 那我不是吃亏了！没有办法，只好轮流用房间吧！一人冲凉，其他下楼上网去。

另一次是我们去看某间民宿的房间。Eric 说：“不要在这里，因为房间太偏僻了，怕你一人睡有危险。”傻了，我只觉得房间小了一点，脏了一点，旧了一点，但没想到我自己的安全呢！因为，我已经把自己当成男生了。哈哈！

除了“大姨妈”到访的日子，我都跟他们同房不同床睡。Eric 是最早睡，最迟那个。嘻嘻！

Actually, I went to backpacking with my friend and my friend’s friend. HaHa! Two of them are guys and I’m the only girl. Why not ask some girls to join us? When the word “backpack” is mentioned, every one will have a heavy look. “Backpack” = suffering vacation. Why want to suffer when you are in vacation? Because it’s FUN! :p (I like to suffeeeeeerr...........)

So, traveling with guys is not difficult and uncomfortable as I thought. At least, I have two “Free” bodyguards with me. But, the bad side is, we don’t have our privacy.

When in Saigon (Ho Chi Minh), Vietnam, we stayed in a room together. At first, everything seems ok until Eric told that: “The door of the bath room is made of glass.” Oh My God! How are we going to take bath? So, anyone who want to use the bath room, others will need to go downstairs and online.

Another time was in Vang Vieng, Laos. We went to a guest house and take a look of the rooms. The rooms are too small, only suitable for two people only. So, we need to stay in separate rooms. Eric told me that better not to stay there, the guest house is too isolated, is not safe to let a girl stay alone in a room. Oh…........ I forget……..i’m a girl. :p

Backpack Day 3

第三天早上，我们搭巴士去金边（Phnom Penh）。去到金边时已经是中午了。巴士停下后，一大堆司机围着巴士的出口，问要计程车吗。（好恐怖！）金边不是一个很安全的城市。TukTuk司机会提醒游客把贵重的东西收好，避免去非旅游区游玩。我的另一班朋友在非旅游区被一些顽皮的小孩丢石头，我们也遇到一位游客被趴走钱包了。

The bus from Siem Reap to Phnom Penh 午餐后，我们坐上TukTuk车，去The Killing Fields 《战火屠城》一个很悲哀的地方。更多照片和资料可以从这网站得到： http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Choeung_Ek。过后，我们去s-21监狱：红色高棉 （Khmer Rouge）的一处集中营，一个培养国家栋梁的学校变成了阴森森的监狱。可悲！ 接下来，要去国家王宫，但是关门了。只好在王宫前的广场拍照，走走。傍晚时，当地人会在广场野餐。那两个傻佬说，“为什么今天去的地方，全都布满了悲哀的气氛？”其实，金边还有银殿（Silver Pagoda）又称玉佛寺（Emerald Buddha），金边王宫，国家博物馆等， 好玩的地方。

In front of Royal Palace 在金边坐 TukTuk 车时，请戴上口罩。:p 因为到达 Killing Fields 时，甩一甩头，一团黄色的尘烟会出现在你周围。哈哈哈！晚上时，我们到Mekong River 旁散步。这里是个很热闹的城市，就好像吉隆坡那样。

Third day in Cambodia, we took a morning bus from Siem Reap to Phnom Penh. We reached Phnom Penh in the afternoon. When the bus stopped, there will be a lot of car, TukTuk, motorcycle drivers crowded at the door and waiting for their “targets”.

Phnom Penh is a city similar to KL. So, Malaysian knows lah……city is not a safe place. TukTuk driver will try to advise tourists to keep their digital cameras safely (don’t hang on the neck).

We went to The Killing Fields and s-21 Prison. These two are totally a sad place. For more information, please visit http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Choeung_Ek. After that, we want to visit the Silver Pagoda and Royal Palace, but the places close at around 5.30pm. Therefore, we just walk around near the Mekong River in front of Royal Palace.

We like to ride on TukTuk car, because we can really feel the atmosphere of the city, people, air and DUSKS! Hahaha. When you are in Phnom Penh, please wear a mask. The road to the Killing Fields is dusty. At night, we take a walk around our hotel and near the Mekong River. We meet a foreigner who has lost his wallet and we just help him out by giving some money to him. So that he can take TukTuk or motorcycle to Police Station and the embassy authorities.

* Just becareful when you are in the city area, Phnom Penh or KL. :p

Backpack Day 2

其实第一天我们有去Tourism Center of Siem Reap. 在那儿，你可以租车，Tuk tuk 车，巴士去吴哥。你也可以请导游领导你的行程。因为是政府的，价钱不会太贵。 *Tips: 你可以选择请导游或阅读关于Angkor Wat 的书籍。不然你只是会觉得自己看着一堆堆的大石头（就好像我那样。哈哈！）。 我们选择看日出。约好司机 5.30am 接我们。但是我的闹钟出卖了我，坏了，所以6am 才到达吴哥。那时已近看到太阳公公的额头了！……. :( 我们只买一天的入门票，所以想尽量用一天的时间看完吴哥。别傻了，我们用了9至10个小时才游了吴哥的小圈圈。什么是大小圈圈呢？其实，吴哥城好大好大，有些 “wat” 建在离吴哥很远的地方，有些要上山（没下水）的。:p hehe……. *下一次，收集好质料后才慢慢介绍吴哥吧！ 在吴哥城里，有很多小贩和卖东西的小孩。那儿真的好多好多卖汽水啦，卖翻版书啦，卖手工艺品的小孩。当累了，我们想坐下休息时，他们就一窝蜂围着我们，吵我们买东西，好恐怖！我们好可怜，要跑到远远躲开他们。 半途中，下起雨了。那两个男生继续走，我躲在Tuk tuk车休息。我们的司机大概60多岁吧？可以是爷爷级了。他淋着雨载我们，我们就像公主和王子躲在可避雨的Tuk tuk 车里。柬埔寨的人民很穷，老爷爷也要工作和学英文，养活家人。 晚上，我们逛到去一间高级酒店。过了9点晚上，餐厅里的蛋糕全部半价。一块蛋糕0.60美金（RM2.30）. 半夜在SIEM REAP走走不会有危险。旅游业对他们来说很重要，所以不会有很多旅客被伤害的事情发生， 这只限在旅游区。:p

On the first day of our trip, we went to Tourism Center of Siem Reap in the town. From there, you can get all sort of information: transportation, maps, tour guides, etc. This is a government department. Therefore, they will not charge the tourists too expensive.

Any MMU team negotiates with other Tuk Tuk drivers on the street. Sometimes, you will get a cheaper price. You need to go to the center to know the standard price lah. :p

**Tips: Do some research before you go to Angkor Wat. You can read books or pay for a tour guide. If not, you will end up looking to all the big big block of stones and feel BORING!

Time for sun rise in Cambodia is different in Malaysia. Their time is around 5.35am. So, you need to wake up at 4.30am and depart from your guest house around 5.00am. To be honest, we can’t spend 1 day to visit all the “Wats”. We just managed to visit the “wats” in the small circuit. Some “wats” are located far away from Angkor and need to climb up hill.

**I will explain what is small and big circuit next time after I finished compile the information.

There are a lot of stalls selling food, drinks, souvenirs, etc in Angkor Wat area. The price sure expensive, but you can ask your Tuk Tuk driver to take you to other places to eat. There are many children selling things in extremely expensive cost! So, bargain with them if you really want it, you can bargain up to 70% discount on the things. But for the stalls are different, you can only discount up to 50% only.

At night, you can walk around the town safely (compare to Kuala Lumpur). Those safety places only applicable in tourist area only, in the jungle is a different story. We walked in a high class hotel named Sokha and have our snacks over there. After 9pm, all the cakes will have 50% discount, which cost around USD $0.60 - $0.80 per cake. :)

Bacpack 1st Day (30/5/2006)

第一天的旅程，我们要更美金做朋友了。在柬埔寨，那儿的人都用美金更旅客交易买卖，只有少数超便宜的东西才用柬埔寨钱交易。吴哥(Angkor Wat，Cambodia) 入门票：一天是美金20元，三天是美金40元。到达Siem Reap时，已经是下午了。 下午去吴哥很不划算，所以我们跟民宿老板娘租了一辆 tuk tuk 车去Tonle Sap湖. 去那儿的路程应该是 40 分钟吧。

半路时，司机告诉我们需要买入门票(去湖游玩也要给钱？马来西亚的湖不需要给钱呢！)下车来到一个简陋的亭子，然后被吓一跳。去一个湖要美金10元 (37块马币) ， 不需要那么贵吧？无奈，那么远来到了，就付钱吧！付钱后要离开时，来了一对西方旅客，这次门票是美金15元。 （被吓两跳）哗！有没有搞错。如果我们跟西方人一起到，那么要被砍多5元咯！怕怕！

到了湖边坐船去浮村（Floating village）. 好奇怪，我们好像VIP, 三人做一艘大船，并不是等满人后才开船. 嘻嘻! Tonle Sap 的风景没什么特别，反而是从民宿去Tonle Sap 湖的那段路程更精彩。 回到民宿已经是傍晚了。回房间，洗个澡，然后医肚子去。 不知不觉走进一间高级餐厅，布置很漂亮，华丽，还好不是很贵（大概每人四美金）。用餐完后，我们到处走走才发现好多更便宜的餐厅。

今天好累好累。。。。zzzzZZZZzzZzZzzz

When you reached Cambodia, you need to make friend with "USD$". Every thing is sold in USD, except those extremely cheap thing can use “Riel” for trading. To enter Angkor Wat, one of the world heritage sides, you need to pay for entrance fee. $20 for 1 day, $40 for 3 days entry.。

When we reached Siem Reap, is already in the afternoon. So, is not worth to visit Angkor Wat because you will need to pay 1 day entrance fee, but not half day entrance fee. :p So, we decided to visit famous Tonle Sap lake. We took about 40 minutes to reach there.。

In the middle of our journey, the Tuk Tuk driver told us that we need to buy entrance ticket. (Erm….ok. We don’t pay to visit any of the lake in Malaysia. :p) When we go to the counter, we are shocked, USD$10 ENTRANCE FEE! Is equivalent to RM37! WOW! So expensive! Anyway, we just paid them. After we paid, two westerners just walked in. “USD$15 per person please”, this is what we heard…….Phew! Luckily we reached separately, if not, we’ll need to pay $5 extra.。

Tonle Sap floating village is nothing special for us. The only special part is on the way from the town to Tonle Sap. What so special? Let’s visit the place yourself :p and you will know.。

We ended our trip in the evening. At night, we just roam around the town. Anyway, it is safe to walk around in the town area until midnight.

Boring Day

今天好无聊。过几天，我要开始进入“社会大学”了!

等我拿到手提电脑后，要勤劳写我的“博客”了。第一个，当然写我的背包 TRAVEL记啦!

好然我的朋友们认识一下，贫苦的柬埔寨，多姿多彩的越南，亲切善良的寮国和精彩绝伦的ChiangMai. 当我说我去柬埔寨时，人家都问“安全吗？。去寮国，他们问“落后吗？” 很想大声地告诉他们：“马来西亚的朋友，你们才落后！柬埔寨不是我们想象中那么不稳定，寮国不是听说中那么落后·马来西亚的治安问题才可怕！大家应该去见识见识一下，不要做井底之蛙了。还有，如果你的资金有限，泰国，寮国，越南和柬埔寨，都是不错的选择。

我们三人行，坐了三趟飞机，好多趟巴士，两趟船，18天，才用了RM1800.最久的巴士记录是20小时，很高兴地在爸爸面前耀。哪知道，爸爸的记录是30小时！（在印度坐巴士）20个小时已经快让我疯了。30个小时！我愿意投降。。。。。。。。（没大志:p）

更好玩的是一定要在路途中寄postcard回家。有些国家的邮寄服务就慢了“一点点“，我一个月后才收到“某个国家”寄回家的postcard.哈哈哈！好好玩！

今天到此为止，我几百年都没用华语了，用了两个小时才写出一点点来，需要练习练习。。。。。。。。hehe

My Name is .....................

在越南时，我们和4位澳州和纽西兰夫妇一起进餐。纽西兰的两位夫妇爱极了亚洲美食。他们拿筷子的功力也不比华人差喔！当我们自我介绍时，他们对我们的姓名好有兴趣。

回家告诉父亲，我们自我介绍的情形。父亲说：“好啊！你们会介绍华语名字。” 然后，父亲讲他的故事了。

有一次，爸爸去欧洲时，当一个华人告诉洋人：“my name is Robert". 那洋人好奇怪地说：“Robert? Do you have a Chinese name? Why you don't use your chinese name instead English name? ”

华人呀！华人呀！我们应该为自己华文名字骄傲呀！

下次，洋人问：“WHAT is your name?”，大大方方告诉他们：“my name is Lee Pei See." .............. :)

全国灯笼展览会

上次说好了要好好介绍我的背包旅程给大家知道。虽然上班的第一个和第二个星期没有什么工作，但我还没练到光明正大在公司写博客 。

先介绍正在吉隆坡举行的全国灯笼展览会。地点在 Bukit Jalil Stadium, 时间：3pm – 12 midnight, 如门票：应该是RM5. (忘了！ :p) 有什么特别？有一个用绳子和陶制碗碟汤匙做成的“龙”，中华文艺表演，小小玻璃瓶搭成的双峰塔， 中国式的食物，民间艺术和其他.

Toastmaster

DATE: JULY 22,2006

今晚，我去朋友的一个活动， 叫作“Toastmasters Club Installation Dinner & Humorous Speech Contest”. 这是个简单的晚会，但全部人都很热心。先谈食物吧！ 很多人都认为，贵的食物比便宜的食物好吃。我认为每一样食物都有特别的味道。Hotel你的贵东西，不一定好吃喔！

什么是Toastmaster? 这名词是我25岁时第一 次听到。正真的历史，我也不是很清楚。朋友说，以前西方人早餐时，都会一路谈天，一路吃早餐。从而演变成现在的Toastmaster ------ 一个让人突破自己在大众前演讲的活动。谁是胆小鬼的话，可以去参加 Toastmaster club. 那儿的人不会讥笑你，但会鼓励你好好发挥及提升自己。我是个天生的聆听者，我不害怕演讲，我只是比较喜欢听故事。:p

为什么有华语和英语版本呢？我是用华语交谈的，用话语表达当然容易啦！但写华语正的好难，汉语拼音都忘了！写英文是因为有些“香蕉”朋友不会华语，所以被逼写英文。 希望大家都满意！:p

Tonight I went to my friend, Giap, Farlim Toastmasters Club Installation Dinner & Humorous Speech Contest. Let’s comment on the food first. The dinner is held at Visxxxx Hotel in Penang. People always think that expensive food is more delicious than cheap food. For me, every food has their own unique taste, money is not the only parameter to define delicious. So, food in the hotel is not always the delicious one :p

Now, what is toastmaster? First time I heard this term is in my age of 25 years old. The history of it…….. try to google it yourself. I like to listen to stories, but I not really like to speak. Toastmaster is someone who likes to speak, to present and to communicate! The world is fair, there are speaker and there will be listener. I like to be a listener, not because I scare to speak in the public, but I just like to listen to stories.

So, anyone who like to improve their communication skills, you can join the Toastmaster club. They encourage you to speak and express yourself. :) Anyway, I prefer to express myself in a passive way ……writing. Hehe
